SIMSmart local airtime - France

A sport and incentive travel specialist required a large number of French airtime connections for sports fans coming into the country.

The solution

As using mobile phones abroad can be very expensive, this client turned to Cellhire for handsets and French SIMs for staff, who were tasked with looking after South African supporters visiting the Rugby World Cup. This provision proved extremely useful in ensuring the smooth running of the tour, especially in the light of the traffic congestion in Paris during the rail strike!

The tour operator benefited from excellent network coverage, no roaming charges and free incoming calls. Also, as South Africa were the eventual winners of the Rugby World Cup, and therefore fans stayed for the duration of the event, the client made significant cost savings.
